New Research by U.S. and Singapore team tried to prove the correlation between sleeping duration and heart disease. The core of these research results reveal that less sleeping duration and more sleeping duration provides too many bad consequences for the health and the heart of the relationship between hours of sleep, hypertension and diabetes. In this research, there were 58,004 men and women aged 45 years or more who do not have a problem with the heart, have hours sleep less than 5 hours and more than 9 hours significantly because the world will die of cardiovascular disease during the next few years, from in their sleep 7 hours each night as research participants. The study was conducted by Dr. Anoop Shankar from the West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown. This study strengthens the research that has been done previously that enough sleeping duration will reduce the risk of heart disease.
Most research on sleep and duration of sleeping with heart disease population in the west apart from Japan, the researchers said that the people of Asia has higher number of people with lower body weight, differences in lifestyle, diet, which different than the western population. These causes Asians are also vulnerable to cardiovascular heart disease.
In conducting this research, researchers take a sample of Chinese ethnicity who live in Singapore during the years 1993 – 1998 and followed by the end of 2006 that in the period to 1,416 cases of death as a result of heart disease.
